this fucking movie i swear
she is spot on my body type and I think it does a lot for my self esteem because I find her just painfully beautiful. all I can think about when watching this show is how healthy it would have been for my body image as a young teen to see ONE girl who looks like me on tv (who wasn’t just there for some stereotypically beautiful character to value for her personality and “see past her fat” to give that stereotypically beautiful character depth, or to be the butt of mean jokes, or some goofy trope character). representation matters, and mmfd has proven that a show with a multifaceted fat female protagonist can be wildly successful.
